Why do you only focus on business posts?

I see so much happening in Facebook and the BIGGEST element is that the majority of business owners are only focusing on doing business posts.  I would love to know why?  Is it bringing you new clients on a regular basis?  Is it showcasing you as the expert in your field?  Is it providing value to your potential clients?

Now, this is just my personal thoughts and my experience, as I have been working Facebook for 10 years now for business.  Over these last 10 years, I have focused on providing tips, ideas, suggestions, motivation, inspiration, asking questions, building relationships and of course, incorporating my business posts.  This has allowed me to build my network, showcase myself as the expert in my field and in turn, increased my referrals.

Let me give you an example of how this really showed me that I have been doing something right all these years 😉

I recently added a ground-floor MLM business to my life (when lia sophia shut down, I was ultimately still trying to find something that would get me excited again about this industry and lo and behold, it is wine lol).  To date, I have done 4 posts on my personal timeline (one was a live video) about my excitement with this new business, my decision as to why and of course some details.  Within these 4 posts, guess what happened??  I had a total of 104 people ask for information about this!!  I did not have to private message anyone cold, I did not have to send out any emails….I don’t even have a business page created at this point!  This showed me that, YES what I have been doing on Facebook, the network I have been building,  was because of selling ME!!

It was not about constantly promoting my business in every group, of “cold” messaging people, of not interacting with others…..it was about wanting to truly get to know people, to learn from people, to provide them value, to help them, to encourage them, it was about selling who I was as a person.

So before you do that next business post, before you send a message to someone you don’t even know, to try and recruit or get them to buy your product, think about how you can focus on selling YOU first!!
