Starting 2017

We are now officially in the year 2017!!  Time to seriously look at what you are doing in Facebook for your business.  You need to make some changes and focus on what can bring you the new clients you are looking for.

  1. Start working your personal timeline to build relationships.  Share what you are up to, where your business is at, what inspires you, what motivates you, let people know who “you” are.
  2. Start working groups to network, not to just promote your business.  YES, it is okay to promote your business in groups (well, make sure to read the rules that a group may have put into place), but you also need to look at networking with the members of the groups.  They are “real” people too and are looking to build relationships and learn from each other, so embrace it.
  3. Bring more to your business page!  Don’t just focus on selling your product/services, share tips, ask questions, share inspiration, share out articles that relate to your business, think about what your audience wants to see (be sure to check your “Insights” tab to see which posts got the most visibility and generate more posts around that same concept).  People need to receive more value from you otherwise they are not interested in what you have to offer.
  4. Don’t focus on the things that aren’t important, focus on what is.  What I mean here, is focus on those who are interested in what you have to offer, don’t fret about those who may unlike your page, who may hide you in their news feed (which by the way, we never really know who does that), who leaves negative comments (answer their comment with a politically correct answer and move on OR delete the comment if it allows you to).

You are given a brand new start with a new year, so figure out how you are going to change the way you work Facebook.  Start being YOU and stop focusing so much on JUST selling your business, because when you sell YOU, people will listen.

Tammy Hudgin spent the last nine years working her direct sales business (no longer involved with direct sales as the company closed their doors) on Facebook and embraced all the elements that were available to her. One of the most valuable tools that she learned was that you need to sell yourself before you can sell your business. She launched her Facebook Social Media business over five years ago and has trained over 500 business owners on how to work Facebook to build a presence and get their business out there. Tammy helps additional clients by managing their business pages and offering business page creation/revamp, along with consultations. Tammy has been a guest speaker for Rogers TV (4 shows have been pre-recorded), spoken at Annual Conferences, Networking Meetings, nominated for 6 business awards, and has been interviewed on 3 radio blogs. She embraces everything she learns from those she meets, she continues to be inspired by other business women and looks forward to building more relationships.
